Ice sculptures can be as large or as small as you want. You would just need provide a suitable table strong enough to hold the ice for larger sculptures.  We would put the sculptures in a drip tray and the water  would then drain away into a bucket under the table.  If outside it may be an option for the sculpture to drain away to ground.

At Sand In Your Eye we make sculptures in sand, ice and pumpkins, giant drawings on beaches and paintings with light!  Now we have a glorious new studio where you can join in the fun too! Please join us with workshops for adults, groups, schools and corporate team building.  

The Sand In Your Eye Studio is nestled in Cragg Vale of the Calder Valley, 10 minutes walk from Mytholmroyd train station which connects to Leeds and Manchester.  We are surrounded by fields and grazing cows and a stones throw from the creative hub of Hebden Bridge.  Our studio has wheel chair access and plenty of on site parking.

Sand in Your Eye

From a sprinkle of sand to a touch of ice, a Halloween pumpkin or a clever idea. At Sand In Your Eye we like to create inspirational and fun pieces that will make you laugh and think, shout out in amazement, and perhaps even shed a tear.

Sand in Your Eye was established in 2003 making sand sculptures. We also create ice sculptures, gigantic beach sand drawings, Halloween pumpkins and light art and are continually innovating new techniques, managing to combine commercial art with conceptual art. 

On International Peace Day September 21st 2013 we made The Fallen 9000 where they drew 9000 stencils of fallen people on the beaches of Arramanche to visually demonstrate what happens in the absence of peace.  This was heralded as one of the top 10 art instillations in the world for that year and featured in TIME magazine.  Commercially, we have worked with Land Rover to create a 1km beach drawing, Aardman animation to make the worlds largest animation, and also work with many charities, local authorities and festivals to produce stunning ice sculpture trails and sand sculptures.
