School Trips and Teacher Training
Our creative workshops at our Yorkshire sculpture studio are perfect if you are looking for places to go for school trips or if you would like some creative teacher training so that you can take your new tricks of the trade back to school. All our creative activities are wheel chair accessible.
Teacher Training Creativity
Come to our Yorkshire Sculpture studio to learn how to make sand sculptures and then take your skills back to school. Sand art is perfect for working independently, as a team, for creative communication and problem solving. You will learn how to engineer and sculpt the sand and then how to adapt the activity so that it can be used as an engagement tool to teach through play other topics such as science and history. Activities are adaptable to curriculum themes and you can be sent home with an activity pack.
Sand Sculpture for Kids
It is great fun making sand sculptures! Get those creative minds ticking as the children learn how to engineer the sand and then make a sand sculpture. They can work alone or in a team to make a giant sculpture that they can even sit in. You can add challenges like sand jenga or adapt the session to use it as an engagement tool and teach science or history and even anatomy!
Ice Sculpture for Students
Ice sculpture is suitable for older pupils or college students. Here the participants will be carving with chisels and using hand craft skills to sculpt crystal clear ice. They can work in pairs or as a team to construct a larger sculpture together. There is even the option of temporary storage for collection or delivery to your premises.
Halloween Pumpkin Carving for Kids
Halloween pumpkin carving is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to express creativity, use the hand motor skills and just have great fun. You can come to us and learn the skills or we can come you your school and give a workshop.
Light painting photography challenges your imagination and encourages you to experiment and embrace happy mistakes that are the hallmark of creativity. The children can experiment with lights and the camera or embrace a full experience where they can build their own LED light painting props and learn light art techniques.
Photographs from the session will be made freely available.
Facilities include our sculpture studio, meeting room, projector, light refreshments and plenty of onsite parking. Photographs can be taken throughout the workshop which will be shared with you after the event. All our activities are wheel chair accessible.
